Finally this round of sculptures are done.  For now we’re calling him “Mr.Man” until we come up with something better. Mr. Man is a smart science type who gets around on this zippy gadget chair. He completes the “Nerds Gone Mental” series for now.

We do have an art show coming up in July and I’m sure we’ll be seeing more Nerds and their gadget accessories.

Here is “Mr Man” and his fly wheelchair.

This is a girl I (beans) designed as part of our “Nerds Gone Mental” series. Isn’t she pretty? I love fat kids with glasses.

The first character from the series went to a colleague of ours who collects our stuff. That was last year. So this year he asked us to put together 3 new characters to go with the first.

The first guy was “Mac”.  He inspired the series a year ago.

Ryan really started getting into creating these little gadgets and props to go with our guys. So for our follow up characters we wanted to include cool props for them too.

Now here is Faye Faye.  She has hyper charged boxing gloves attached to a power  pack (that lights up for real) on her waist. She is fat and has a gnarly underbite to match her bulldog buddy. I’m actually sad to see her go.

“Can You Open a Beer With That?”

Ryan made this wheelchair to accompany an old man character we designed for a buddy.

It’s part of our ongoing “Nerds Gone Mental” series.  We use mostly recycled materials to build our dudes and doodads and this chair is made with stuff we had lying around the studio.  The frame comes from an old dish rack that we originally found in the trash (no shame in garbage picking) and used as an operating table for a music video.  This time around it served as a great base for our chair. Training wheels were also garbage that we knew would come in handy some day.  It’s nice to get rid of old junk that stays in our studio for way too long.

The switchboard is made of old armature pieces…ball joints and threaded rod.  Also the lever was an old prop from a music video as well. The leather “upholstery” is made from our good friend’s old cowboy chaps from one of her Halloween costumes.
